ANDREW + HEIDI
WEDDING & RECEPTION INFORMATION
When and where will the ceremony take place?
The ceremony will begin at 4pm on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at the Heritage Museum of Orange County. We ask that during the ceremony all electronic devices are turned off. Check out this map for the Heritage Museum's location.
When and where will the reception be held?
The reception will be held at the same location as the ceremony and will begin at 6:00pm.
What should we do in between the ceremony and reception?
Refreshments will be served after the ceremony. The Victorian house will be open for visitors so be sure to check it out (for children, there is a toy room). You may also want to pop over to the blacksmith shop or play games on the lawn.
Where do I park?
There is plenty of parking in the lot in front of the museum (Mitchell Elementary School). In the unlikely event that we run out of spaces, parking is available along the street next to the venue.
Can I bring a date?
Unfortunately, unless it has been specified on your invitation, we cannot allow a plus one at this time.
Can we bring our children?
Yes! Definitely. There is plenty of room for children to run around and play.
What's the drink situation?
There will be wine during cocktail hour and a champagne toast during dinner, but no open bar. Lemonade, fruit-infused water and coffee will be available.
What's the food situation?
We've tried to choose a menu that would accommodate as many guests as possible. If you have a food allergy or need a vegan meal, please let us know so we can provide a meal option for you.
What will the dancing be like?
We've hired a gypsy jazz band, the Icy Hot Club, to play at the reception so get ready for a swinging time. If you're not too sure about swing dancing, here are a couple of YouTube tutorials to help. However, don't feel like you need to know how to swing dance--as long as you get on that dance floor we don't care if you dance a jig or do the robot.
What do I wear?
It is an outdoor wedding so dressy casual is the way to go (ie. suit and tie for men and cocktail dress for women). We can't predict the weather, but based on previous years, temperatures should be around 78 degrees and will cool off to the 60s in the evening. Bring sunglasses as some areas of the venue are quite sunny. For ladies in heels, there are some grassy areas, but most paths are paved.
Where can I find the couple's gift registries?
Our gift registry for household goods and camping equipment is located here. Or if you'd rather contribute to our honeymoon fund we have a second registry here.
How do I RSVP?
RSVP online here. If you are not comfortable doing so online, give us a call or send us an email. Thank you!
For out-of-towners:
Which airport(s) should we fly into?
We recommend flying into Orange County's John Wayne airport (SNA) via Southwest as it is closest to the venue. Long Beach airport (LGB) would be the next best option since JetBlue also has great deals on flights if you book in advance. This map shows you where everything is located.
Where should we stay?
The Ayers hotel in Costa Mesa is offering a discount on their rooms ($119 each night) as long as you book before June 5th. You'll need to call (714-549-0300) and tell them you'll be there for the Martasian/Wroblicky wedding. Rooms are filling up quickly so be sure to reserve a room soon. The Ayers offers complimentary parking, wi-fi, shuttles to John Wayne airport and shuttle service within a 3-mile radius, two pools and a fitness center. There are many excellent hotels in the Newport Beach/Costa Mesa area so don't feel like this is your only option.
How do I get from my hotel to the wedding?
Unfortunately, there is no shuttle service from the Ayers hotel to the wedding site. You will need to take a taxi, rent a car or Uber your way there. Fortunately, the Heritage Museum is only 5 miles away.
What is there to do in Orange County?
Lots! If you like amusement parks Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm are right around the corner and if you like baseball you can catch an Angels game. For surfing head to Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, Doheny or San Onofre. Laguna Beach is great for its beaches, art, food and hiking (definitely one of our favorite places). If shopping is your thing check out Fashion Island in Newport Beach, South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa or Irvine Spectrum in...Irvine. If you plan to extend your visit, make sure to go to a Taco Tuesday. If you get bored in the OC, you could also take the train north to Los Angeles or south to San Diego (both are about an hour away).
